Football Superstar, Neymar reveals why he cried in his room for two straight days
Neymar, one of the most popular footballers in the world, has shown that he once cried in his room for two straight days.
Brazil striker Neymar says he cried in late January two days after breaking a metatarsal bone in his right foot.
The Paris St – Germain star is out until April, after maintaining the problem in a game against Strasbourg in the French Cup.
It’s the same injury that he suffered last year in February that put his World Cup in doubt, but this new blow “is more complicated,” Neymar said.
“This time I had a tough time getting over it,” the 27-year-old told Brazilian TV channel Globo.
“I spent two days at home crying.
“The first time I hurt myself I said, ‘I’ll have an operation, it has to be fixed as quickly as possible’. I wasn’t sad.”
Neymar was out three months after surgery last year, returning just in time to play in the World Cup, where he scored twice in Brazil’s quarter – finals run.
This time, the medical staff of PSG decided instead of another operation to treat the fracture in a conservative manner.
PSG said Neymar will be out for about 10 weeks, meaning he will miss their last-16 tie in the Champions League against Manchester United, leading the French side 2 – 0 after the first leg in Old Trafford last week.
The second leg is March 6th in Paris.
