Femi Osibona: ‘His car was at the site’ — Lagos building owner still missing
Femi Osibona, owner of Fourscore Homes, the developing company in charge of the building that collapsed in Lagos, is believed to be trapped in the rubble or in hiding.
The high-rise, one of a group of three buildings under construction, caved in on Monday afternoon, with over 50 persons reportedly still trapped under the ruins.
On Monday evening, a witness had said Osibona was in the building when it collapsed but there is yet no confirmation.
When TheCable left the site of the building collapse on Tuesday night, there was no sign of him, and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) had no update on if he had been found.
As of Tuesday midnight, there was still no word on if he had been found dead or alive.
TheCable understands that his car was parked at the premises on the day of the incident, while calls to his line are no longer reachable.
“There is every indication he was trapped there. His car was parked at the site. His calls are no longer going,” a source said.
Meanwhile, a total of 14 bodies had been recovered as of Tuesday evening, while nine persons have been rescued alive.
Rescue operations are ongoing at the site.
