Federal Polytechnic Ede Holds 26th Matriculation Ceremony in Grand Style

The matriculation ceremony of Federal Polytechnic, Ede, for newly admitted students into the institution for the 2019/2020 academic session has succesfully held.

The ceremony which held on Friday, 21st February, 2020, at the polytechnic sport pavilion.

Speaking during the programme, the Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. John Taiwo Adekolawole, congratulated the matriculating students for attaining another important mile stone in their academic pursuit.

According to him, Federal poly ede “has grown from a modest beginning to a highly rated citadel of research and high learning.

“It has distinguished itself as one of the centres of academic excellence and has become an attraction for candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions.”

This, he said, has been largely due to the school’s track record of maintaining a smooth and uninterrupted academic calendar over the years, particularly under his administration.

He called on the students to be diligent in their academic work and be honest in the pursuit of their dreams, adding that they must avoid been captives of the social media.

Adekolawole noted that the polytechnic “takes serious exception to issues that border on indiscipline and lawlessness particularly when such actions involve violence, cultism, internet fraud, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and the likes.

He thus urged them to shun all forms of vices that can jeopardize the completion of their studies, as he promiseded that the management will continue to wage war against nefarious activities of secret cults on the campus.

High point of the ceremony was the administration of the matriculation oath by Barr. N.J.O. Mohammad alongside Barr. Adeyombo, on the newly admitted students.
