Federal Poly Ede: We Are Not Ready To Pull Out of ASUP Strike

As against all Speculation if the Federal Polytechnic Ede will pull out of the ASUP Strike action, resume and regain normalcy of all academic activities today being Monday 7th of January,2019.

Our Media Correspondent, gathered that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP Fed Poly Ede Chapter, has said that it is not true ‘Ede ASUP Chapter is not planning and will never boycott the strike’ further said Ede chapter alone was not in a position to determine whether an end to its ongoing strike is in sight. ASUP Ede Chapter Gen.Sec Com. Ben festus while Speaking with Reporter G.song made this known.

You will recall that the Polytechnic lecturers, weeks ago
embarked on industrial action over the failures of the Federal Government to implement its part of the agreement it signed with the union towards ensuring proper funding of the Polytechnic and non compliance of the Federal Government to the Condition of services, among others. And following the downtooling in the school the known animated campus of Federal Polytechnic Ede have been left absolutely still and quiet.
