FA Cup Final: Mourinho gives update on Lukaku’s injury

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has provided updates on striker, Romelu Lukaku’s injury ahead of the Red Devils clash with Chelsea in the FA Cup final slated for May 19 at Wembley stadium.

Lukaku injured his ankle during United’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal in the Premier League two weeks ago.

Mourinho said the 24-year-old is in Belgium undergoing treatment for his ankle to be fit for the FA Cup final.

The Portuguese, however, hopes the Belgium international could play the FA Cup final against the Blues.

“We hope he can play the FA Cup final,” Mourinho told a press conference ahead of Manchester United clash with Watford in the Premier League.

“He is in Belgium having his treatment in the communication between the doctors in Belgium and our medical department and we are just waiting to see if it is possible for him to be involved in the final.

‘If not starting, at least he can be on the bench.”
