‘Evil Spirits’ Take Over Anambra State Government House

Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano has claimed that “evil spirits” have taken over the Government House in Awka, the capital city.

Obiano said this on Saturday at the Province of the Niger, Anglican Prayer Rally of Anambra State (APRAS) 2019, with the theme “The Righteous shall Flourish like Palm Tree” which took place at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.

The Anambra Governor was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government Solo Chukwubelu.

While reacting to the ministration of Bishop of Ogbaru Rt. Rev. Prosper Amah who said there were evil spirits in the society, Obiano admitted that there were evil spirits in the Government House that regularly visit the Government House.

He, therefore, called on the church to pray for the evil spirits to quit the Government House permanently for him to provide quality services to the people.

“In the government House, the evil spirits come and go. We urged the church to pray hard to let them leave the government for good,” he said.

On his part, the Archbishop, Province of Niger and Bishop, Dioceses of Awka and the Most Rev. Alexander Ibezim, said evil spirits in the Government House were human beings.

“The government should fight evil spirits themselves in the State House, while the church will fight those outside the government house,” he said.
