Ekugbemi Boys ‘Invade’ Kudeti, Kill 30-year Old Man In ‘Revenge’ Mission

In what is considered to be a revenge mission, thugs loyal to late Moshood Ekugbemi on Saturday invaded the popular Kudeti area of Ibadan and killed a 30-year-old man, Lanre Ahmed.

Ekugbemi, ngnews247.com recalls, was killed in April 2020. Popularly known as Jesu Idi-Arere, Ekugbemi was said to have been killed during a fracas with members of a rival cult led by Abiola Ebila, gang leader of the dreaded one million boys with base in Kudeti.

Ahmed, according to The PUNCH, was shot dead during a cult clash.

According to his elder sister, Yetunde Ahmed, Lanre was killed in evening by members of a cult who were said to be on the trail of some youngsters in the community.

Yetunde said, “We live at Kudeti community in Ibadan. I saw my late brother in the evening, precisely around 6pm; and he was well and kicking. I learnt that he came back home briefly around 8pm yesterday (Saturday).

“We heard that some hoodlums waylaid him on the bridge and shot him dead. I got the news through a telephone call.

“My brother wasn’t based in Ibadan. He just came home. He returned to Ibadan in the wake of the One Million Boys rage at Ago Iwoye in Ogun State. He was hit by a bullet at the scene; I was called on the telephone that he has been shot.

“On getting to the scene, he mentioned the Nasawe and Ekungbemi boys. Specifically, he mentioned Skelor and Taye Alaga, Shuaibu Ishu and Jeremi as those after him.

“He said the boys had said that they would continue to strike, that it would not end at that. They said following Moshood’s killing, more people would still go down.”
