E-Learning: Poly Ede S.U. Meets Management Team, Makes Six Core Resolutions
The Students Union Government President, Comrade Mallam Ajibade Quazeem Adekunle (KAZYWHITE) led ever progressive SUG officials to a meeting with the management of the school some moments ago; on the issue of e-learning. On the side of the school management, we had the Deputy Rector Academic, Deputy Rector Administration, Dean of Students Affairs, Sub Dean Students Affairs, and Students Affairs Officer.
After intense deliberations, the following resolutions were made:
1. That the SUG had, before today’s meeting, written quite a number of press statements to disagree with and discontinue attempts by some lecturers to conduct e-learning on students’ whatsapp platforms;
2. That the SUG still in clear terms disagrees with the idea of electronic learning; putting the interests of the majority into considerations;
3. That the management should, as a matter of emergency, evacuate any information regarding e-learning from the students portals;
4. That the SUG would go and have tĂȘte a tĂȘte discussions with other students’ leaders and resolve amicably on what would be of great benefits to the generality of students;
5. That the SUG would get back to the school authority on the resolutions arrived at with the students’ leaders
6. That the management should henceforth inform the SUG before making decisions that are critical to students.
The Students Union Government however implore students to remain calm as our resolutions with other students’ leaders will determine our next line of action (everything in students interests) Studentocracy
We use this medium to also inform some writers who have little or no knowledge of scientific Aluta crying foul around social media to be humble and learn more. As students of tradition and culture, we are not expected to behave before thinking. We are expected to think before behaving. They should remain calm and stop spitting words of discrimination amongst reasonable students.
The SUG under the capacity leadership of Comrade Mallam Ajibade Quazeem Ajibade (KAZYWHITE) would always stand with and protect the interest of the students. The SUG would not allow itself to be pushed by some who mistake every opportunity of intellectual engagement for child play.
Students are to be rest assured that there’s nothing like e-learning until the SUG reaches a new compromise with other students’ leaders
