Over the years, Suicide and suicidal attempts have continued poised as a major threat to our National health security and sadly a lot of lives has been lost due to this abstract virus called “depression” which is the major cause of suicide in our environment.
According to statistics, Nigeria is currently ranked 5th in the world in Suicide per 100,000 people, per year.
However, Drug and Substance Abuse has also been on the verge. So many young adults, teens and even older adult ones are seriously abusing different drugs and substances like Codeine, Tramadol, Heroine and so many more.
In respect to all these health concerns, DTA health support foundation launched a project tagged Fight against Suicide and Substance abuse on the 28th of March 2018 to address the malignant abuse of all these drugs and substances.
