Criminologists are of the opinion that serious criminals do not feel ashamed or guilty of their actions. They do not fear punishment and have little sympathy for the people they harm. This administration, has over the months, encountered barbaric assaults and killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen – a group listed by nameless bodies as the fourth deadliest group in the world.

Termination of lives and destruction of people’s properties had become their traditions. Why do these people take law into their hands? President Buhari has not shown enough remorseful reactions to the brutality perpetrated by his Fulani’s brothers. He had pretended not to have seen the terror as terror, even though it has caught attention of the international communities. The people of Benue have been harassed, traumatized, maimed and killed needlessly.

As John Kenneth once said, ” Great leaders are usually willing to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of the people in their time. This and not much else is the essence of leadership” (end of quote).

Nigerians need a social arrangement where they will be able to live in peace and harmony. Is Mr. President ready to provide such social arrangement? Why do we value lives of cows more than that of humans? It must be understood that the weakness of any part of this country is tantamount to the weakness of all. Procrastination on the part of the Federal government has led these communities to a grave annihilation; lost of lives and valuable properties. Let’s join hands to save Benue state.
