Dayo Kujore Biography
Dayo Kujore was born on April 4, 1958, in a village in Abeokuta in Ogun state to Michael and Esther Kujore.
His father’s name is Michael Odejimi Kujore and his mother’s name is Esther Kujore who was also known as Iya Ijo of African church in Igboro. Dayo Kujore took interest in playing musical instrument at African church in Igboro in Ogun state while his elder brother was a choirmaster.

For his elementary education, he attended African church primary school and then went to African church secondary School for his post-elementary education both schools were in Igboro in Abeokuta Ogun state. From there he went to Soba technical school in Ojuelegba in Lagos State where he trained as an engineer.
Dayo Kujore Career
Like many singers, Dayo Kujore started juju music from the church after he got motivated to play Juju music through Joseph Oguntade who used to come to African church in Igboro during harvest festival to play Juju music.
Dayo kujore started his own band in 1976 and release his first album in 1977 titled HA JESU BE AND E BA MI JIJO DAYO. He went ahead to release his second album at skylark record under Chief Aboderin owner of punch newspaper. Titled Eje ka sere ife.

Information reaching NGNEWS247 reveals that Nigerian music legend, Dayo Kujore has died at the age of 63.
It was learned that the ‘Juju’ maestro died on Monday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja, Lagos State.
Confirming the death of the 63-year-old singer, his daughter, Ayinke Kujore said her father died on Monday afternoon from a brief illness.
