COVID-19: Ede poly launches immunity-booster recipes to flatten curve of pandemic (Photos)

The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, has unveiled some recipes for the purpose of stimulating human body immunity against the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic.

According to a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Sola Lawal, the products were conceived as potent measures to proffer appropriate panacea to the array of threatening diseases to human anatomy, especially the novel pandemic; adding that the philosophy of the drugs basically predicated on cure through the boosted immune system.

The statement read in part”, The Federal Polytechnic, Ede, will continue to proffer sustainable solutions to societal problems. Our approach is to prepare the people for necessary solutions against the ravaging COVID-19 disease.

“Sincerely, our intervention in containing the menace of the disease is hinged on the philosophy of alerting and boosting the human body immune system.

“Therefore, our team of researchers in fulfilling this philosophy formulated recipes that are capable of stimulating and enhancing the body immunity. The products were formulated from exotic plant materials rich in phytochemicals with antioxidant properties”.

The statement highlights the products to include: Alert tea; blend of exotic plants formulated into tea bags which will be boiled in water (an infusion), the tea, when taken regularly will help to enhance the body immunity thus alerting the body system to resist diseases caused by a microorganism of any types as well as other degenerative diseases;

I-Booster: Liquid product formulated from plant materials (bulbs, rizhome, fruit and seed). The antioxidants in these materials were optimally extracted and formulated and concentrated to be taken in diluted form as directed

The statement added that the products were prepared under hygienic conditions and are non-toxic, saying that there was strong assurance from the Polytechnic management with regards to its safety and efficacy.

” The team is poised to continue their research and development efforts to ensure that these products and others are registered by the appropriate government agencies for its commercial production”.

Team, which was led by Dr Adewale Taleat, also contains the Coordinator, I.T.C., Alhaji Sarafadeen Adiat,

Director, Research and Development, Dr Ajayi Moses Adedapo among others.

Meanwhile, dignitaries at the event include the Rector of the institution, Dr John Taiwo Adekolawole, Deputy Rector Academics, Engr Dr Olawole Petinrin, Deputy Rector, Administration, Alhaji Isiaka Tunji Adelabu, Registrar, Alhaji Isiaka Tunji Agboola, Polytechnic Librarian Dr. Rotimi Adesina Egunjobi and Bursar, Prince Caleb Olanrewaju Olagunju.
