Court orders Lil Frosh to be remanded in prison for assaulting his girlfriend
Nigerian singer, Sani Goriola Wasiu better known as Lil Frosh, has been remanded in prison for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend.
The artiste was arraigned at the Chief Magistrate Court 1, Yaba on February 8, 2021 on a one count charge for assaulting his girlfriend, Okeoghene Taiye Iyometerie also known on Instagram as Geminme, in 2020.
According to reports, the case gained new momentum when the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Lagos State chapter got involved.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault punishable under Section 173 of the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State 2015.
The Court ordered the remand of the defendant and advised him to bring an application for bail.
The case was adjourned for further mention.
