Confusion In Oyo Over Rumour Surrounding Ajimobi’s Health

Confusion continues to trail the health status of former Oyo state Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.

In the past few weeks, unconfirmed reports have surfaced online claiming the Ex-governor and Deputy National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is seriously ill.

The reports also claimed that the Ex-governor is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos.

In a smilar report questioning the whereabout of Senator Ajimobi, BBC News Yoruba, called one of the closed-allies to the APC’s Deputy Chairman to know the truth of the matter.

“There is no truth in the report and that it is hard on the father,” a close ally who do not want his name on print told BBC.

Last week, Senator Ajimobi issued a statement through his spokesperson wishing and welcoming Otunba Alao Akala to the elders’ club.

ngnews247.com also gathered that the last two public appearances of the Deputy Chairman was when he appeared on a Social Media video commending the Federal Government and NCDC in the fight against coronavirus and the meeting he reportedly had with the Oyo APC Parliamentary caucus in Ibadan, the state capital.

Across social media and words on streets, the residents of Oyo are hoping all is well with their Ex-governor, while views are divided as many expressed hope that he is hale and strong.
