Buhari Govt Annouces June 12 New Democracy Day
The President Muhammadu Buhari led administration has annouced June 12 as the new Democracy Day after immense consult.
The President through a tweet also announced that the highest honour in Nigeria, GCFR, will be conferred on winner of the 1993 June 12 election, MKO Abiola and his running mate, Babagana Kingibe will be awarded with GCON.
Freedom fighter, Gani Fawehinmi will also be posthumously honoured with the GCON awards.
The official flag off will commence Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
