BREAKING: Report of Bomb Explosion at Abolongo Prison False – NCS
The Nigeria Correctional Service, Oyo state command has debunked reports that there was a bomb explosion at Abolongo Correctional Centre in Oyo town, Oyo State.
The Public Relations Office, Olanrewaju Anjorin who spoke with Agidigbo FM on Tuesday evening, said online reports of the incident were untrue.
A news platform had earlier reported that explosion on Tuesday rocked Abolongo Correctional Centre in Oyo town, Oyo State.
“The stories making rounds are fake. The police merely came to safely detonate the Improvised Explosive Device, IED left behind by the gunmen who attacked the prison last weekend,” Anjorin said
