BREAKING: Maina slumps in court (Video)

Embattled Former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, has just slumped before trial judge, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

It was gathered that Maina slumped shortly after the court session just began.

The court resumed proceedings in the 12-count charge preferred against him and his firm, Common Input Property and Investment Limited by Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Maina slumped at exactly 10:05 am when his counsel, Anayo Adibe was making submissions before Justice Okon Abang handling his trial.

Before Maina slumped, his counsel was praying the court for an adjournment to enable him get record of the proceedings of the court to enable him prepare for the no case submission he intends to file on behalf of his client.

Following the development, the court had to rise abruptly to enable officials of the Correctional Service and relations of the former pension boss to attend to him.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report at about 10:30am, Maina was yet to be revived after he slumped.
