In preparation for their inaugural season, Vázquez signed with Major League Soccer expansion team Atlanta United in December 2016.
Vázquez made his competitive MLS debut on April 22, 2017, against Real Salt Lake, when he entered as a substitute and netted a goal in stoppage time.
