Boybits, a San Beda graduate who attended school there from kindergarten through college, was selected by Swift with the third overall pick in the 1994 Philippine Basketball League Draft.
He won the Rookie of the Year award by outlasting a strong field that was headed by Noli Locsin. Swift won the 1995 Commissioner’s Cup and the 1995 All-Filipino Cup with Victoria’s help.
Victoria announced the end of his professional career in San Miguel in 2001.
Upon his retirement, Victoria would delve briefly into coaching and later broadcasting, serving as panelist for both the radio and TV coverages of the league.
In 2018, the former national player spent weeks in a hospital after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder which, if untreated, could lead to paralysis.
