About Bishop Benjamin J. Almoneda
Bishop Benjamin J. Almoneda served as the Bishop of Daet. He was born on April 11th, 1930, and was ordained a priest for the Caceres Archdiocese on March 22nd, 1958.
He was named the Auxiliary Bishop of Daet on December 19, 1989, and on January 6, 1990, Pope John Paul II ordained him as a bishop. He was appointed Bishop of the same Diocese on June 7, 1991, and served there until April 4, 2007, when Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation and retirement.
