“Ayra’s Song Was Recorded Before MIL” – Don Jazzy Shuns Troll Who Claims New Signee Sampled Wizkid’s Song
CEO of Mavin Records Label, Collins Michael Ajereh, popularly known as Don Jazzy has replied to a troll who claimed Ayra made a sample of Wizkid’s song.
Sighted on Twitter, the troll identified as @youngkonzzy accused the new Mavin signee of copying Wizkid’s ‘‘sweet one’’ track.
He tweeted;
“What did I just hear??? This new Mavin girl sampled sweet one??
She no evn allow the song age small. Later dem go open their mouth say no be Wiz inspire them….we dey wait,”
According to Don Jazzy in his reply, even though Wizkid will always be an inspiration to every artist in Nigeria, Ayra song was recorded before the ‘Made in Lagos’ album was released, and also the samples were taken from the website ‘Splice’ where every new producer gets samples from.
“First things first Wiz is definitely an inspiration to every artist from Nigeria in the last decade and beyond but this particular sample is from The website Splice. Almost every new producer gets samples from there. Ayra’s song was recorded way before MIL came out too sir,”
