August Alsina Illness: August Alsina born August Anthony Alsina Jr. is a famous American singer. He was born on the 3rd of September, 1992 in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. He had his only schooling in New Orleans which was the middle school.

He was inspired to pursue by Lauryn Hill. Young August at the age of 14 began making music and uploading his videos on YouTube. His first video was a cover of Lyfe Jennings song Hypothetically.

Alsina was moved to Houston Texas by mother as a result of both his father and step father battling crack cocaine addiction and also the Hurricane Katrina in the year 2005.

After he had some disagreements with his mother, he was kicked out of the house and relocated to Atlanta in the year 2011. On the 31st of August, 2010, August’s elder brother was shot and killed.

In the year 2017, August revealed that he battles with a severe autoimmune disease that attacks his liver. He collapsed on stage in the year 2014 as a result of the sickness.
