Akesan Inferno: What Adelabu Told Alaafin, Oyo People During Visit

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last governorship election, Chief Bayo Adelabu has visited the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III and the people of Oyo over the fire incident that engulfed the Akesan market.

Adelabu who commiserated with the victims of the inferno also promised to contribute within his capacity to the reconstruction of the Akesan Market and expressed his love and solidarity “towards the victims”

Naijaparry recalls that the Akesan market was consumed by fire in the early hours of Sunday.

He said, “I visited his HRH, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo and the entire Market women to commiserate with them on the ghastly fire incident which consumed the entire Akesan Market.

“Thereafter, I promised to contribute within my capacity to the reconstruction of the Akesan Market to express my love and solidarity towards the victims of the inferno.”

Naijaparry also recalls that former governor Abiola Ajimobi also visited and sympathized with the victims. He promised to donate to the rebuilding of the market.

Also, the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Prof Raphael Afonja the Commissioner for Environment, Hon Kehinde Ayoola and other government officials had also visited Oyo town.
