AFCON 2023: How To Watch AFCON On NTA (DSTV & GOTV)
The National Television Authority (NTA) on Wednesday announced that it has secured the exclusive rights to broadcast all 52 matches of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This is coming after MultiChoice, owners of Cable platform DSTV, announced that it will not broadcast the tournament on SuperSport (SS).
“In a groundbreaking move, the NTA and Afro Sports have inked a game-changing memorandum of understanding to broadcast 52 thrilling matches of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire,” NTA posted on X.

Last Wednesday, MultiChoice confirmed that it failed to secure the right to broadcast the 2023 AFCON.
“However, AFCON 2023 games will be available through our partner broadcast stations on Free to Air (FTA) channels,” Multichoice said.
The 2023 AFCON will begin with the Group A match between host nation, Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan on January 13, 2024.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles are also in Group A alongside Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
Nigeria’s opening game is against Equatorial Guinea at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan on Sunday, January 14 at 2:00 pm.
The Super Eagles will hope to win the AFCON tournament for the fourth time, having previously done so at Nigeria 1980, Tunisia 1994 and South Africa 2013.
