AFCON 2021 Round of 16 Draw: Nigeria set to play with Tunisia

Following the completion of the AFCON group stage, the round of 16 draw was made yesterday, and all the qualified teams now know who they will be playing against.

Some of the big names in Africa got through to the round of 16, while we saw some Nations get eliminated in the group stage. Teams like Ghana and Algeria, who are both football powerhouse in Africa, are no longer in the competition, following their elimination.

Burkina Faso will face Gabon, while Cameroon who are the host Nation, will play against Comoros. Senegal are set to play against Cape Verde, Morocco will play against Malawi, while Egypt will face off with Ivory Coast. In what will be the biggest game in the draw, Nigeria are set to play with Tunisia.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria got the hardest draw in the round of 16, because Tunisia are a big Nation when it comes to football in Africa. Tunisia have what it takes to beat Nigeria, so the Super Eagles need to be at their best when they will be playing that game.

Nigeria were not the only team with a tough draw though, as the likes of Egypt and Ivory Coast also got a tough opponent, as they will be facing eachother. (NGNEWS247)
