Adulthood Anthem: Singer, Lade Opens Up On The Inspiration Behind The Song
Buzzing Nigerian recording artiste and entertainer, Omolade Oyetundun Rachael, widely known as Lade has revealed the reason behind her new single; “Adulthood Anthem”.
Few weeks ago, the senastional singer, songwriter and voice over artiste served the music community with a beautifully crafted single captioned, ‘Adulthood Anthem’. The song has gone viral and has gathered positve comments and reviews among her listeners.
In a recent interview, the songstress disclosed that, her song ‘Adulthood Anthem’ is an intentional and personal song. In her own words; “It was intentional and personal because that’s the stage I am in right now for the fact that I have to do things myself, cater for myself and make things happen for myself and I believe that a lot of youths right now that’s what they are trying to do”.
“Adulthood na scam because you know nobody gave us heads up that this is how it is going to be because we had our parents that will do stuff for us and go all the way to So, we had our parents that made things happen for us but now that we have to do all of those things ourselves, so it’s like a big weight on the youths”, she added.
Lade started her career in 2015. She gain prominence after doing a cover to Simi’s Duduke in 2020. Lade has recorded jingles for top brands in Nigeria like Airtel, smoov, maltina, Goldberg, lacasera, maggi, travelbeta, among others. ‘Adulthood Anthem’ has surpassed 5 million streams on Boomplay.
