Adanma Luke Suspended, Investigation Launched Into Junior Pope and Others’ Death

Adanma Luke Suspended, Investigation Launched Into Junior Pope and Others’ Death

The Association of Movie Producers (AMP) has revealed in a statement that Adanma Luke has been placed on immediate suspension.

Recall, that the late actor Junior Pope was set to star in an upcoming film produced by Adanma Luke, but he unfortunately lost his life in a boat accident.

Pope and four others perished on April 10 in Asaba, Delta state, after falling into the River Niger while traveling to a filming location.

A nine-member committee has been established by AMP to look into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Junior Pope and other individuals, according to a statement the organization released on Monday and signed by its national president, Queen Blessing Ebigieson.

The statement also added that Adanma has been advised to suspend all work, “pending the submission of the investigations report and the final decision is taken.”

AMP also sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the boat mishap.

The statement read in part:

“Following this tragic incident, AMP has set up a nine-man committee to investigate all activities that led to the death of these practitioners on the set of the movie, Another side of Life!

“Meanwhile, the producer, Adamma Luke, is hereby advised to suspend all work pending on the submission of the investigations report, and the final decision is taken.

“As we mourn our fellow filmmakers, we ask for calm from all sectors, stakeholders, and the public.”
