Abaribe can’t produce Nnamdu Kanu – Biafra group tells Buhari
Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has reacted to the arrest of Abia Senator, Eyinnaya Abaribe, by the Department of State Services, DSS.
The leader of BNYL, Princewill Richard, in a statement sent to DAILY POST, claimed that Abaribe was arrested due to his failure to produce the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
He, however, stressed that the embattled Senator lacks the capacity to produce the elusive IPOB leader.
According to Richard, “Although, it has not been disclosed why the DSS arrested him, we cannot claim that we don’t know it was because of his involvement in the release Mr Nnamdi Kanu from prison being a surety.
“But what the Buhari government failed to know and do not care to know is that the embattled Senator does not have the capacity to produce Kanu or determine his whereabouts, the Chief of Army Staff have questions to answer over the illegal invasion of Umuahia, Kanu’s home and his disappearance.
“The President himself is not above the law, there are countries that their laws permit arrests of incumbent Presidents.
“People can see why we are demanding for Biafra. Nigeria does not allow opposition which is part of democracy, this is a big blow to the Igbo people and entire Biafra populace and we won’t tolerate it “.
