Adele Roberts Radio 1, fans devastated by emotional hospital video of bowel cancer battle

Adele Roberts’ fans have been left emotional after her girlfriend shared a video from hospital as she continues to fight bowel cancer.

The broadcaster and DJ’s partner Kate Holderness took to TikTok with a series of clips documenting her chemotherapy journey.

Adele, 42, revealed she had been diagnosed with cancer in an Instagram post last year, a month after discovering the disease.

She went under the knife last October to have part of her bowel removed, and to start her chemotherapy treatment.

On Wednesday, Kate, 37, posted a video documenting the radio star’s painful experience, showing her sobbing in the hospital.

Other clips showed Adele struggling to walk up the stairs after her chemotherapy, wearing a hospital robe and socks.

While a third showed her taking large pills as part of her cancer battle, leaving her with blistered feet and painful skin.

“For Adele,” Kate captioned the post. “I don’t think you know how astonishing you are. I hope this video helps you see, just a little.”

Fans flooded the comments to share they had been left “in awe” of how Adele had been handling the horrifying illness.

“She is incredible – in awe of how she is handling all the obstacles,” one said, as a second chimed in: “Very brave and inspirational.”

Another said: “Good luck with your treatment, Adele, keep fighting. I didn’t realise how much of a superhero you are.”

“Sobbing now,” a third said, as a fourth concluded: “Ah this broke my heart, you have got this Adele!”

It comes shortly after Adele said “FU to cancer” as she revealed her stoma bag while hitting the gym with Kate.

The Radio 1 DJ took to Instagram with the selfie, proudly showing off her toned stomach and stoma bag which she named Audrey.

Last October, the star told fans in an emotional post that she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and needed treatment.

She underwent a colostomy to remove the bowel tumour – removing part of her colon and replacing it with an opening in her tummy.

Telling fans that the surgery had “helped save her life”, Adele revealed she would need to use a stoma pouch for the rest of her life.

The I’m A Celebrity star posed alongside her partner Kate Holderness as she carried weights in her hands in the gym.

“Today’s FU to cancer… first time in the gym since my surgery,” she penned under the snaps, which showed the star in sports leggings and a crop top – and keeping warm with a beanie.

In January, Adele gave fans an update on her “shock” cancer diagnosis that meant doctors almost saw her “lose her bottom”.

She told close pal and GMB presenter Kate Garraway, 54, about her battle, explaining the vital surgery to remove the tumour.

“So far, I believe they’ve managed to remove the tumour,” the DJ said. “It was in a really awkward place but they managed to save my bottom.”

Adele joked that she had named her stoma – and opening made in her abdomen so she can pass faeces – “Audrey” to make it less threatening.

Showing off her shaven head, she continued: “Once I’ve finished my chemo, I should be well again.”
