COVID-19: 6 New Cases Confirmed, 2 New Deaths Reported In Oyo

Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has announced 6 new cases of coronavirus, including two new deaths in the state.

With this new cases, the total number of coronavirus cases in the state rise to 250.

Governor Makinde said the confirmation tests for six suspected cases came back positive. He made this known on Tuesday evening.

Giving the breakdown of the cases, the governor said one case came from iSON Xperiences and one each from Ibadan South West, Ibadan South East, Surulere, Ido and Egbeda Local Government Areas.

“Sadly, two of the six positive cases confirmed today had already passed away.

“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 250 and the total number of deaths is six.”

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also confirmed the new cases in a post on its official Twitter timeline on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, On Tuesday, the government also announced the discharged of seventeen (17) COVID-19 patients after receiving their second NEGATIVE test results.
