BREAKING: Osun Assembly passes Public Financial Management Bill

The Osun State House of Assembly has passed the State of Osun Public Financial Management Bill, 2020.

The bill was passed at today’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye.

In his remarks, the Speaker of the House said the bill will strengthen the management of public finance in the state.

Owoeye thanked Honourable members for their resilience during the consideration of the bill, adding that the bill will checkmate the excesses of political office holders and civil servants in the management of public finance.

The bill was passed following a motion moved by the Majority Leader, Hon. Moruf Olanrewaju, seconded by the member representing Ayedaade State Constituency, Hon. Adebayo Olodo.

The passed bill will now be transmitted to the Executive Governor of the State, H.E Gboyega Oyetola, for assent.
