BREAKING: Osinbajo Meets South West Governors Over Amotekun

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) is in a closed door meeting with governors of the South-Western states at the State House in Abuja, Naijaparry reports.

The meeting, which took off immediately after the closing of the first National Economic Council (NEC) meeting this year, is expected to dwell on the controversies surrounding the Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), codenamed Operation Amotekun.

As at the time of filing this brief, the Attorney General of the Federation, (AGF) and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, had joined the meeting.

It would be recalled the South-West states, led by the Chairman of their forum, Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, had on January 9, 2020, launched the regional security outfit.
