“NANS Is Actually Just A Mix Of Cultists And Old Boys That Refused To Graduate” – Nigerian Students reacts
Nigerians have taken to social media to expressed their disappointment at the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS for allegedly collecting bribe from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Some members of NANS on Thursday, visited the president at the presidential villa in Abuja.
During the visit, NANS president, Bamidele Akpan, promised President Buhari 20million votes in the coming presidential election holding this February.
I can assure you (Buhari) today that if this constituency (Nigerian students) is well utilized, we’ll pull nothing less than 20 million votes for you.
This statement has got a lot of Nigerians fuming in Twitter, as they expected that NANS should be angry after being at home for weeks, because of striking lecturers but rather endorsed Buhari for second term instead.
Many aggrieved students of both polytechnic and university blast NANS on social media and vehemently frown at the leadership of the student’s body, alleged the body of receiving millions of naira from president muhammadu buhari after their long time meeting which outcome left many flabbergasted.
Why did people say NANS went there to talk about ASUU's strike instead of saying they went to endorse Buhari? As I said earlier, there's no way none students aka NANS will know what real students are facing staying at home for months. Smh pic.twitter.com/FbedjZlda0

The leadership of NANS went to give Buhari Birthday cards 3 months into ASUU strike that has kept students at home.
Buhari further insulted them by saying "allow me concentrate on infrastructure than distracting me with ASUU and Education".

Reports reaching me is that One hundred and fifty million naira (N150,000,000) was doled out to the leadership of NANS during this visit.
Their job is to hold protests against ASUU and other striking units instead of holding the govt accountable.
Congratulations to NANS boys pic.twitter.com/jmHkJuNCEm

NANS President went to Villa to meet President Muhammadu Buhari, and instead of advocating for ASUU strike to be called off and student returned to school, some lazy youths went to Villa to campaign for a failed administration. Yet we get angry when called a failed generation. pic.twitter.com/VurJiSHPND

When we say NANS is the most USELESS Students' Org., You don't need to go far to confirm it. Listen to a President who's colleagues have been at home for 2months because FG failed to implement the MOA of 2017, and conclude the renegotiation of the 2009 agreements with ASUU pic.twitter.com/TQc9krmcz5

Isn't it ironic that the same students who have been at home for about two months because of #AsuuStrike are these same ones doing this?
Are you still wondering why National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has been quiet all these while?#EndAsuuStrike https://t.co/hmBo8Sg3BO

Graduates, working class, youth corpers, fathers, mothers are shouting #EndAsuuStrike, FG & ASUU are always walking out of each other, with no solutions yet, only for National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) members, to go and be praising Buhari & insulting ASUU. Madness
