On 6 August 2021, Holiday was traded along with Isaiah Todd to the Washington Wizards in a multi-player, five-team deal. He made his debut against his former team the Indiana Pacers, scoring seven points in 25 minutes in an overtime win.
Holiday joined the Phoenix Suns ahead of the 2022 season for cash consideration and a trade exception. A year on, he moved to the Atlanta Hawks to reunite with his former coach Nate McMillan and his older brother Justin.
