2019: Pop singer, Banky W declares his intention to run for House of Reps

Pop singer, Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W , has declared his intention to contest for the Lagos State Eti -Osa Federal Constituency seat in House of Representatives on the platform of the Modern Democratic Party.

He made the declaration at the party’ s convention on Saturday.

A tweet posted on the singer’ s Twitter account read in part, “ You see, my entire life has been a story of just dreaming dreams, praying about those dreams, setting goals , and working until they come true.

“ I can live with trying and failing. I can not live with not trying.

“ So while we may not have a godfather , we do have God ”
