His plan for a revival of the 1970s television show Crown Court was turned down by ITV in favor of a British Judge Judy, and McLennan gave Rinder the chance to host it.

He served as the titular judge in the reality courtroom series Judge Rinder from 2014 until 2020. He has been compared to a British Judge Judy.

A book titled Rinder Rules was published by Rinder in 2015. Judge Rinder’s Crime Stories, a new series he debuted in 2016, featured reconstructions of actual events.

Alongside Susanna Reid, Rinder made an appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox’s second season in July 2020. My Family, the Holocaust and Me, a documentary by Rinder that was shown on BBC One in November 2020, assisted Jewish families in learning the real truth about what actually happened to their ancestors during the Holocaust. The documentary was hailed as “a vital history lesson” and got considerable praise.

In 2022, Rinder has been a presenter on ITV’s Good Morning Britain. The 10-part crime series Rob Rinder’s Interrogation Secrets, hosted by Rinder, was ordered by Crime & Investigation UK on July 14, 2022. It debuted on September 4, 2022.
