Liars – Adekunle Gold warns colleagues as OAU promises to be different from LASU
Popular Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has warned his colleagues against going for shows at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun state.
OAU took to its Twitter page on Friday and called on artistes to bring their concerts to the higher institution, promising to deliver nothing but fun and a nice party.
The invitation came after the violent incident at the Lagos State University, (LASU) where musicians such as Odumodublvck, Bella Shmurda were attacked by suspected cultists.
In reaction, Adekunle Gold accused OAU of lying and advised his colleagues not to listen to them. The singer’s rant may be connected to an incident at the university in 2015 when he was humiliated at his hotel after performing for just three minutes.
He had been reportedly paid N300k to perform at the school but only mounted the stage for a few minutes and sang his debut single Sade before exiting, an action which outraged students and the organisers.
In a post on Twitter, OAU wrote; “Bring your Concerts to OAU, we love fun here. Just dobale, singer nice songs and it’s a party mate. #OAUTwitter”
