1. The Federal Polytechnic Ede was established in February, 1992 by the Federal Government vide Decree No. 33 of 25th July, 1979 as amended by Decree 5 of 1993 as a third general Polytechnic.

2. It currently runs Twenty-nine (29) National and Higher National Diploma programmes and Twenty-two (22) Academic Departments in the following Schools:

  • School of Applied Sciences
  • School of Business Studies

  • School of Environmental Studies

3. The Polytechnic presently operates two campuses referred to as the North Campus and South Campus (The new site).
