Argentina football legend, Lionel Messi, is set to benefit from the departure of his arch rival, Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid as he can break some of his records in the game of football.

Barcelona star, Lionel Messi could possibly break three records in the game of football following forward, Cristiano Ronaldo’s move from Real Madrid to Juventus this summer.

Ronaldo ended his Los Blancos’s career this week when his £100million move to Juve was confirmed.

The Portuguese captain’s move to the Italian giants would help him conquer Serie A football.

The 33-year-old has managed to succeed in Spain and in England.
He has also built a legacy that will forever be remembered by the world.

2. UEFA Champions League trophy; Ronaldo has won it 5 times, whereas Messi has won it 4 times.

3. The most representations in the UEFA team of the year for a single club: Ronaldo has made it into the team of the year 9 times at Real Madrid, while Messi has made the team 9 times at Barcelona.

Ronaldo has joined Juventus, and this leaves Messi with an opportunity to become the player with most representations in the UEFA team of the year for a single club. If the Argentine captain manages to make a cut into this UEFA team of the year again, it will be his 10th for Barca.
