2019 Elections: What Buhari Told Obong Of Calabar

President Muhammadu Buhari has said Nigeria’s economy has improved since he took over as the nation’s leader in 2015.

Buhari said this on Wednesday in Calabar, Cross River State during his political tour of the state.
This was during his visit to the Obong of Calabar, Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi-Otu.

According to Buhari, “Nigerians are our witness that things are not the same way they used to be in terms of security, economy and fight against corruption.

“I am happy His Majesty is well briefed and informed about what we have been doing and has been honest in speaking out.”

In addition, he assured Nigerians that the country is saving enough money by cutting dependence on food importation.

He said such money will be used in building infrastructure in the country for the benefit of every Nigerian.

Also, he expressed his government’s resolve to tame corruption to put the country back on track.

Buhari is vying for a second term in office alongside Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
